Tyler Gerry
Owner
Since 2004, Tyler has grown Torrison Stone & Garden to become a full-service landscape construction and design company. He came from a small town in Western Massachusetts and began his career in corporate sales in Hartford, CT. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Westfield State College. Tyler has lived in Durham since 2003 with his wife and four children.
Suzanne ZENGEL
Business Manager - Controller - Partner
Sue joined Torrison Stone & Garden in 2011 and became a managing partner of Torrison Garden in 2015. She has over 30 years of experience in business operations and finance management. For many years Sue was Operations Manager for a family business, Carlson Fuel Oil, in Meriden. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Connecticut State University. Sue enjoys lake life with her husband Keith and spending time with her two children and grandson's.
Brian Murphy
Landscape Architect, PLA, ASLA - Partner
Brian joined our team in 2015 and is a managing partner of Torrison Garden. Prior to that he partnered with Torrison on landscaping projects for many years. As a licensed Landscape Architect with a degree from the University of Connecticut, Brian brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and design, specializing in residential landscape architecture.
Danielle Huck
Landscape Designer
Danielle has been designing outdoor living spaces for clients across Connecticut for more than 15 years. She has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. With her artistic talent and unique vision, Danielle works closely with clients to design outdoor spaces that reflect their unique personality and individual needs. Whether you are looking for an outdoor kitchen design, patio, walkway or complete overhaul of your landscape, Danielle will work with you from preliminary design through to project completion. Danielle lives in Berlin with her husband and son.
Dylan LaPlace
Landscape Designer
Dylan joined the Torrison family in 2023 with an Associate Degree in Landscape Design and a Bachelor of Technology in Horticulture Business Management from SUNY Morrisville. He enjoys interacting with clients, other design professionals and contractors during the design and construction process. Dylan creates lifelike landscapes using 3D modeling software to help bring customer’s designs to life. He lives in Chester and enjoys boating and outdoor activities in his free time.
Nancy Boyle
Director of Business Development
Nancy has been with Torrison Stone & Garden since 2014. Nancy brings years of customer service experience from her days working for the City of Middletown, State Capital and Sign Pro. She is an avid volunteer for her community, serving 10 years as a Board of Education member. She brings management and scheduling experience to our stone projects. Her experience with customers and coordination of projects has helped our company grow. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Corporate and Organizational Studies from the University of Connecticut and has an associate’s degree in Interior Design from Bay Path University. Nancy grew up in Massachusetts and has lived in Middlefield since 1999 where she lives with her husband Kevin, they have 3 grown children.
Jason Astle
Senior Sales Manager
Since 2008, Jason has been a seasoned member of our management team. He has extensive experience in masonry installation and repair as well as landscaping. He spent his early career as a machinist for 14 years after completing the State Apprenticeship Program for tool and die. Jason is a life-long resident of Durham where he lives with his wife and step-daughter.
Dominick Serignese
Field Operations Manager
Dominick joined Torrison Stone & Garden in 2015. He owned a landscape design build company for more than 25 years. He also worked for the Town of Wethersfield. He is skilled in bringing to life distinctive design elements for our customers. Dominick was born and raised in Wethersfield where he lives with his wife and two children.
Colleen Kinyon
Landscape Designer and Garden Property Manager
Colleen brings more than 30 years of horticultural experience and has a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Connecticut School of Environmental Horticulture. She specializes in fine gardening and landscape maintenance and loves working with clients to ensure that properties get the personal attention they deserve. Colleen lives in Cheshire and has two sons.
Anthony DiPietro
Landscape Manager
Anthony joined Torrison in 2021, having previously owned and operated a landscaping business in Norwich CT. With over a decade of industry experience, he specializes in landscape maintenance and installations. Anthony currently lives in Colchester with his wife and their two dogs.
Nello Damiani
Project Manager
Nello joined the team in the Spring of 2019. Previously he owned and operated an independent masonry company in the Waterbury area for 35 years. He is trained in all aspects of masonry construction specializing in stone construction and stone design. Nello currently lives in Northford with his wife and two daughters.
David DeRosa
Project Manager
Starting with Torrison Stone & Garden in 2024, Dave brings over 10 years of experience in managing projects and operations. As project manager, he oversees every phase of project execution, from initial planning and budgeting to on-site coordination and final delivery. With a strong eye for detail and commitment to excellence, Dave ensures each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standard. Dave holds a degree in Finance from Stetson University and is a proud father of 3 children with his loving wife.
Teresa Hazelwood
Administrative & Project Coordinator
Teresa joined the Torrison team in the Winter of 2019. She comes to us with 30+ years of customer service experience in Bank Management and Salon Coordination in the beauty industry! Teresa lives in Wallingford and has two daughters and two granddaughters.
Cecily Quincy
Administrative & Project Coordinator
Cecily originally joined our team in 2016 then again in 2019 after working in customer service, accounting, management for over 30 years, as well as a Para-professional for her hometown junior high school. She advocates in her community for her son with Down syndrome & is involved in her children’s high school sports clubs & an active member to their booster clubs. Cecily moved to Middlefield in 2000 and resides there with her husband and 3 children.
Carly Gamberale
Showroom & Events Coordinator
Carly Gamberale brings over 15 years of senior management experience from The Cheesecake Factory to her current role at Torrison Stone & Garden, where she excels in showroom management and event coordination. During her time at The Cheesecake Factory, she traveled across the country to help open new restaurants, ensuring they adhered to the company's high standards. Her journey enriched her professional abilities, emphasizing the importance of teamwork, meticulous attention to detail, and surpassing customer expectations. Now at Torrison Stone & Garden, Carly's expertise in customer service and her vibrant energy continue to enhance the customer experience and contribute significantly to the team. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys exploring, participating in community activities, and spending time with her son, LJ, in East Haddam.
Nicole Pandolfini
Administrative Support Coordinator
Nicole made the exciting leap to Torrison Stone & Garden in 2024 after a decade in healthcare, embracing a career that perfectly aligns with her love for nature and organization. As Administrative Support Coordinator, she keeps things running seamlessly, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring top-notch communication. A passionate outdoor enthusiast, Nicole spends her free time boating, hiking, and gardening, fully embracing the beauty of every season. Her organizational expertise and love for the outdoors make her a vital part of the team’s success!
Armand LaPointe
Director of Sales
Armand joined the Torrison team in the Spring of 2019 with the addition of the new outdoor showroom. He has 30+ years of sales experience and enjoys all things outdoors – kayaking, camping and skiing are among a few! Armand currently lives in Durham with his wife and has 3 children, 4 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Taylor LaPointe
Marketing Coordinator
First joining Torrison Stone & Garden in 2019, Taylor returned in 2024 after earning a bachelor's in Graphic Design and an associate's in Business Management from SNHU. As the Marketing Coordinator, Taylor brings energy and creativity to every project, managing marketing, advertising, social media, and rebranding efforts. Currently living in Middletown, Taylor is a proud animal lover who firmly believes there’s no such thing as too many pet photos!
Edgar cuartas
Project Operations Supervisor
Edgar joined Torrison Stone & Garden in 2020 with over 14 years of expertise in inventory management, personnel supervision, and logistics, honed through his time with multinational firms, particularly in Belgium, Europe. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Edgar skillfully supports Torrison Stone's crews, Project Managers, and sales team. Edgar resides in Durham with his wife and 3 children, Benjamin, Angel, and Noah, and cherishes moments spent with his family above all else.
JOHN NUNES
Fleet Manager
For over 10 years, John has been a key member of our team, managing our growing fleet, maintaining all equipment and keeping our crews supported with safe and effective transportation. He is also a CDL Class A truck driver. John lives in Middletown with his wife and three young sons.
